The roots of RÆBURN's AW13 SIGNAL collection are found in the Maunsell Sea Forts — WWII naval defences off the coast of Whitstable, England. Imagining a life spent inside these imposing towers, surviving the most formidable of conditions, RÆBURN has constructed a fortified winter collection.
Style, provenance and function are paramount. Carefully researched, protective and wearable fabrics are applied to new separates and signature outerwear designs, producing a collection that celebrates the character of a British naval landmark.

Entitled OPTIC, the womens collection draws inspiration from the Maunsell Sea Forts — WWII naval defenses off the coast of England — the stark contrast between vivid naval colours and disruptive fort textures running throughout the collection. The atmosphere at the AW13 presentation echoes this setting, an original audio soundtrack developed on location from reverberating ocean sounds.
