Great British Designer Face Coverings

"The effects of Covid-19 are serious and will be long lasting; there will be a cultural and social shift as a result. Our project aims to bring British creativity to the fore in a positive way for both people and planet. With community and the environment in mind these face coverings will offer a reusable, purposeful solution at scale to the changing world we're living through." - Christopher Raeburn

We're proud to have launched our reusable, people and planet positive, fabric face covering in partnership with the British Fashion Council (BFC). The project ‘Great British Designer Face Coverings: Reusable, for People and Planet’, is a joint campaign together with five other reputable British designers, and each contributing with a unique design from London; Halpern, Julien Macdonald, Liam Hodges, Mulberry, and RIXO. Manufactured by Bags of Ethics in their 100% owned partner factories.

The RÆBURN print artwork combines the iconic blue tones of the NHS with our signature spot camo pattern in the shape of a world map. This pays homage to the health workers who continue to fight to keep our families safe, whilst celebrating the sense of global community that has been forged through the pandemic. We need to work together to ensure we are making a positive impact globally, for now and the future.

From each sale, 100% of sale profits will be going to charity, and split between NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal, BFC Foundation Fashion Fund and Wings of Hope Children’s Charity. Our joint ambition is to raise £1 million through the initiative.

The coverings are available on Bags of Ethics and at partner retailers including ASOS, Boots, John Lewis & Partners and Sainsbury’s from 18th June. Sold as a pack of three reusable and washable coverings with no single-use plastic, and comes with two protective pouches.

December Update: We finish off the year with the proud news that the project met a landmark milestone in raising over £1 million for charity. Further to that, they were named BEST BUY for filtration, breathability and comfort by the independent testing body Which? More details here.
