ARTEFACT IV — LIFE RAFT
ARTEFACT / October 21, 2020
The world's glacial ice is under threat. With the onset of rising sea levels and extreme weather, flooding is already causing displacement, conflict, loss of vital habitat and farmland. We must act fast. Our latest ARTEFACT stands as a symbol of immediate refuge. A compact, single person life raft innovatively RÆMADE into new limited edition items at the RÆBURN Lab.
Critical buoyancy, insulation and ultimately survival for individuals at sea, these rafts are made to be highly visible in a lacquered orange polyester. In crises where every second counts, these can be fully inflated and operational within seconds.
The new capsule is RÆMADE utilising all aspects of the original MK 10 single person life raft. Items feature patching of fluorescent red taken from the upper section of the raft, contrasted with sleek black panelling with original white graphics taken from the raft base. Meticulously deconstructed and reconstructed in East London.
Exclusively available for pre-order until 4th November.
Please note that this project is now sold out.
