Christopher will be joining Jo Barnard of Morrama, Caroline Till of FranklinTill and Muchaneta ten Napel at the Blue Earth Summit for Designing Tomorrow — a conversation exploring what the next era of design might demand from all of us.
Every era of design is defined by what it's made from and what it's made for. Increasingly, this one is being defined by limits: less virgin material, less waste and less room for products designed to be replaced rather than kept.
Bringing together perspectives spanning product design, material innovation, technology, policy and responsible practice, the conversation will ask what designing for tomorrow actually means. Is progress about new materials and technologies, a fundamental shift in mindset, or a more challenging conversation about how much we need to make in the first place?
For Christopher, these questions connect directly to the work of RÆBURN and an approach built around RÆMADE experimentation, resourcefulness and collaboration. The panel also offers an opportunity to listen, challenge established thinking and explore where different perspectives might lead.
Christopher will be at the Blue Earth Summit throughout the day, so if you're attending, please come and say hello — whether to continue the conversation from the panel, share an idea, explore a potential collaboration or simply connect.
