Christopher joined Timberland Asia and renowned singer and Timberland ambassador Will Pan in Shanghai this past weekend, launching the brand's Fall/Winter 2019 'Nature Needs Heroes’ campaign.
For the campaign, Timberland have selected 12 ‘eco-heroes’ from around the world who have made significant commitments to make the world a better place. With their support, Nature Needs Heroes seeks to highlight the importance of small, everyday actions to achieve positive change in the environment and our communities.
Speaking of the mission, Will stated, “It starts with yourself. Something as simple as recycling or composting waste can lead to bigger things. Join local groups and share your experience. My role as an eco-hero is to raise the issue. I want to inspire people through action.”
Guests of the event participated in two RÆMADE workshops, inviting them to make their own customised T-Shirt as well as a Parachute Sling Bag. All proceeds go on to support Timberland’s reforestation efforts in the Horqin Desert, located in China’s Inner Mongolia.
The occasion also marked the introduction of the upcoming Timberland × RÆBURN collection and Brooklyn Reboot recycled footwear range to the Asian market. The collaboration will launch globally towards the end of October.
