Christopher Ræburn has worked with Moncler for Autumn/Winter 2012, a collaboration which continued into Spring/ Summer 2013 with ‘Future Heritage.’ With high regard to shape and detail, the garments are ethically sourced and in limited stock.
The initial collection resulted in twenty pieces including coats, trousers and accessories that mix the typical Moncler silhouette with the functionality of military fabrics and cutting-edge materials as technical wools and closed-knit cotton. Colours vary from olive green and black on the exterior to sky blue on the interior, reflecting the playful nature of Ræburn. The season’s mascot was the duck, which can be found printed onto the inside pockets of the jackets.
The second collaboration with the premium outerwear brand is a combination of heritage looks and materials with a more futuristic take on outerwear. Windbreakers in stone grey carry a laser cut detail around the hood that reveals fluorescent orange undertones, lightweight parkas with drawstring detail at the waist come in a forest green and camo puffas this season are light khaki and as always, do not skimp on pockets.
